Thank You

As I sit here thinking about the way that our world is going, I am thankful for the positive things that I read. Just recently I read an article on Lifesitenews.com by Dustin Siggins.

The article is about Mike Huckabee’s response to CNN’s Dana Bash about the 10-year-old girl in Paraguay who was raped and gave birth to a baby.

There are some good things that Mike Huckabee said. He said, “A 10-year-old girl being raped is horrible,”  “But does it solve a problem by taking the life of an innocent child? And that’s really the issue,” said the former Arkansas governor. “I know people. I worked for a man for several years, James Robison, who was the result of a rape. His mother went to three doctors in Houston, Texas, in 1943, begged doctors to abort the baby. None of them would do it. They all refused. Today, his organization feeds, cares for, and brings living capacity for water to hundreds of thousands of people across the world. That would never have happened, Dana.”

Mike Huckabee also said, “No, it isn’t easy,” Huckabee replied. “And I wouldn’t even pretend that it’s anything other than a terrible tragedy. But let’s not compound the tragedy by taking yet another life. And I always think we sometimes miss the fact that, when an abortion happens, there are two victims.  One is the child. The other is that birth mother, who often will go through extraordinary guilt years later, when she begins to think through the – what happened with the baby, with her.”

While there is much negativity going on in the news and the world today. One of the greatest things that I have heard in a long time is a Presidential Candidate say, “I just come down on the side that life is precious, every life has worth and value.”-Mike Huckabee

When are we as a nation going to realize that every life is valuable? When are we going to stop using rape as an excuse to have an abortion? Just the other day I was sharing my story with someone and told them that my Biological great aunt could have arranged for my birthmother to have an illegal abortion. Their response back to me was I am glad her aunt gave her that option. What they said did not set well with me, and I got sick to my stomach. I have been sharing my rape conception story for a year now, and this was the first time that someone said that to me. It was as if they were saying that I should be dead

We as a nation need to get down on our knees and repent of our wickedness and realize that we are created by God, who sees us valuable. To him we are special, we are loved, we are valuable. I just want to say, Thank you, Mike Huckabee, for standing up and seeing every life is precious and valuable.

Jesus Our Redeemer and Savior

I am so blessed to have been raised in the home that I was raised in. Being adopted gave me the opportunity to know Jesus Christ in a powerful way. Jesus Christ the Creator of the world is also God who is our Redeemer and Savior.  It was in the middle of a Chapel Service at School that I received the gift of the Holy Ghost at the age of 7.  The spirit of God filled my life and life more abundantly. Lets look at scripture where God is our Redeemer and Savior and Jesus Christ is our Redeemer and Savior.

Psalms 78:34-35 ” When he slew them, then they sought him: and they returned and enquired early after God. 35 And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God their redeemer.”

Isaiah 47:4 “ As for our redeemer, the Lord of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel.”

Isaiah 44:6 “Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.”

I John 4:14 ” And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.”

Titus 1:1-4 ” Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness; 2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; 3 But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour; 4 To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.

I Peter 1:10-11 ” Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: 11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.”

God Our Creator

Genesis 1:1 says, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”

Many Christians know that God created the heaven and the earth.  There are many that believe that Jesus pre-existed with the father so Jesus Christ created the heaven and earth. They are partly correct. Jesus is both God and man, but Jesus never existed until he was conceived in the womb of Mary and born.

I would like to take time and show many scriptures that show that God is the Creator and so is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh.

God Our Creator

Genesis 1:1 ” In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”

Genesis 2:7 ” And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”

Job 33:4 ” The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.”

Psalms 33:6 ” By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.”

Psalms 104:30 ”  Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.”

Isaiah 40:28 ” Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, theLord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.”

Isaiah 44:24 “Thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the Lord that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;”

Jesus Our Creator

John 1:10 ” He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.”

I Corinthians 8:6 ” But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.”

Ephesians 3:9 ”  And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:”

Revelations 14:6-7 ” And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, 7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.”

Revelations 21:5-7 “And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.”

Revelations 22:3 ” And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:”

 

 

Who Is Jesus Christ?

I have been in conversations with people on social media talking about Jesus Christ. There are many who believe that Jesus cannot be God. It is sad that so many people believe this. I am going to be doing several posts showing that Jesus is God. I will be using a lot of scripture because I want people to know that Jesus is God. Jesus is God manifested in the flesh. Jesus had a dual nature. He was God and he was man.  All Scripture is taken from the King James Version Bible

God is a Spirit

John 4:23,24  ” But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.  24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

Acts 7:48, 49  ” Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, 49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?”

Acts 17:24-28 ” God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 25 Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; 26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: 28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.”

There is One God

Deuteronomy 6:4-9 ” Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: 5 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. 6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. 9 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

Mark 12:28-34 ” And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Isaiah 45:2-6, 23 ”  I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: 3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. 4 For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me. 5 I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: 6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else.  23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.”

Isaiah 46:8-9 ” Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors. 9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,”

I Corinthians 8:4-6 “As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. 5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) 6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.”

Ephesians 4:5-6 ” One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”

I Timothy 2:5 ” For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;”

James 2:19 ”  Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”

Revelations 4:2-3 ” And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. 3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.”

As we can start to see the same God of the Old Testament is also the Same God in the New Testament. What I also find interesting that people like to talk about Jesus sitting on the right hand of the Father. The is only one Throne in Heaven. And Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior our King of Kings sits on the Throne.Jesus is God

Micah 5:2 ” But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.”

II Corinthians 5:19 “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”

I Timothy 3:16 ” And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”

Hebrews 4:15 ” For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”

Hebrews 7:24-25 ”  But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. 25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.’

 

 

 

 

 

 

Defunding Planned Parenthood

I am sure that many of you are well aware of the two undercover videos that were put out in the last couple of weeks about planned parenthood selling baby body parts. It is sickening. Not only is it sickening but they are doing things that are illegal. With the recent events of this the Senate and Congress are wanting to defund abortion altogether or at least that is what they want you to think.
If you read these bills, you will see that they have the rape/incest exceptions in them. I am appalled by this as well as upset. Once again our Congress and Senate is saying that my life does not have any value and neither to others who were conceived in rape/incest. God created us in his image and to him we are all valuable. The United States has turned her back on the very foundation that it was built upon. The Word of God.

Luke 6:48-49 (KJV) says, ” He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.  But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.”

It is heartbreaking that our government is not standing for biblical principles. It is sad to say but when will they realize that they are not valuing all life from to natural death. Will they realize it when they stand before God one day and have to give an answer?  I urge Christians that have a backbone stand up for the Value of Life and also take a stand for things that are Biblically Correct not politically correct.

The Power Of Your Testimony

If you struggle with wondering if your testimony that you share is changing people. Rest assured it is. When I first started to share my Rape Conception story, I struggled with it. Am I making a difference? The more that I share it, the more I see God at work.  I trust God at all times and Trust that he is changing hearts and minds when I share my story. It is rewarding when you can see it.
I would like to share with you one of those moments. Yesterday on Lifenews.com Facebook page was an article about Mike Huckabee, saying Defunding Planned Parenthood is not enough; We must end Abortion. As I read through the comments, one comment hit me, and I would like to share the conversation with you.

 
Person: Hey Mike…….have you ever been raped.

Me: I was conceived in rape. My Life matters and so do all the unborn babies who are conceived in rape. We should not have to pay for the crimes of our birth fathers.
Person: Sherry I never thought of that…..thanks for the insight….will do some rethinking.I sent the person the link to my story and told them that I will pray that it will help them.

I prayed for the person, and I waited for the person to respond and this morning I checked to see if there was a response and there was. This is the response; I am glad I got a chance to see the other side of this topic……I will give it some serious thought…..thanks for sharing your story…….it helps me in my thinking, and I do understand your point. And I do think your right. And will pass it on to others……thank you.

 
God takes difficult situations and turns them around for good. I am so Thankful that God told me to tell and share my Rape Conception story.

The Atrocity of Planned Parenthood

Recently a video has gone viral about planned parenthood selling organs of unborn babies that have been aborted. The pro-abortionists have such a twisted way of thinking. One minute the “fetus” is just tissue and the next the “fetus” has human organs. As I write this today, I am grieving inside because of the way our nation has gone and the lack of leadership that our government has. It tears me up inside when I hear the government say they want to protect our children, but will not take a stand to protect the life of the unborn. Murdering the life of the unborn is atrocious and horrific.
While it is grieving to me to hear about the things that Planned Parenthood does murdering an unborn child and protecting vital organs because they have value. I am grateful for people like Senator James Lankford of Oklahoma who stood up and said “That child has value, we all were once 20 weeks in the wombs of our mother.” Senator James Lankford also stated that we should start over as a nation. As I listened to Senator Lankford, I thought about a conversation that I had on Saturday with Jack Ames, the founder and director of Defend Life saying, We as a country have forgotten God. I totally agree. We as a nation need to start over as the nation that God intended for us to be. I am also reminded of a song by 4Him, “Basics of Life”. It is time that America gets back to the Basics of Life and the Basics of Life begin with a heart that is founded in Christ.

 

It is through situations like this that just confirms what God so profoundly to me to do last August. That is to share my story and tell it.

That I May Know Him

That-I-may-know-him

Think about this question. How well do you know your parents? How well do you know your brother or sister? How well do you know your boyfriend/girlfriend? How well do you know your spouse?

My husband and I have been married for 13 years, and there are times where we just know what each other is thinking. Was it like that in the beginning? No. It happened over spending a lot of time with each other. When you spend a lot of time with someone, you really get to know them.

Trying to figure out what to write about today was a challenge. I had to keep thinking and reading scriptures until something stuck with me. Well, then the thought came to my mind “That I may know Him.”

Philippians 3:10

“That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;”

This verse has got so much in a few short words. How well do you know him or how well do you want to know him?

We can know him on a very personal and intimate level. Let’s take a look at this verse.

God is all powerful. Yes, Jesus died but he rose again. When we fall or stumble let’s not stay down but call on his name, and he will help us get back up.

Jesus had suffered greatly in the garden before he was betrayed. His flesh did not want to go through with it, but he prayed not my will but yours Lord.  Personally I think he is the one that went through more suffering than anyone of us has ever gone through. Yes, we have situations that we face every day and sometimes they are not fun and seem to go on forever. Instead of getting the attitude why am I going through this or that let’s look at what Jesus went through and Thank him and Praise and Worship him in the middle of our situations.

Conformable means to be submissive or patient. We need to wait on him while we go through life. When everything is going well, we need to trust God, and when everything is going bad, we need to trust God and wait on him.

The more time we spend with him, the more we will know him and we will be able to Praise, Worship him in the middle of our situations and be willing to be patient and submissive in the middle of it all and watch how it all works out.

Are You Ready For Your Miracle?

Miracle

John 11 Now a man named Lazarus was sick. He was from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha. 2 (This Mary, whose brother Lazarus now lay sick, was the same one who poured perfume on the Lord and wiped his feet with her hair.) 3 So the sisters sent word to Jesus, “Lord, the one you love is sick.” 4 When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.

The Bible says we don’t have because we don’t ask. We have to come to him and ask and believe that he will do what we asked because he can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask.

Will the answer always be the one we want? Lazarus was sick and was very close to Jesus. I wonder if Mary and Martha felt that Jesus is on his way Lazarus will get better. But Jesus didn’t show up, and Lazarus died.

What now. Their brother was gone. Their hearts were broken. Sometimes while we wait on God to answer our prayers, it can difficult, frustrating and we can even say where are you, Jesus. We have got to keep walking this walk.

Yes, it may look like what you asked God about is dead what we don’t know is that God is working on it.

Finally, after Lazarus had been dead for a couple of days, Jesus finally shows up. Well to Mary and Martha they knew their brother would rise again they didn’t know what was about to happen. That is the same way with us the situation may look like nothing is getting done, and all of hell has come against us things just get worse and worse instead of better. When all of hell is coming against us, we need to rejoice and keep pressing forward. Just when you think that the prayer will not get answered, and doubt tries to set in and all kinds of things Jesus will show up. He has to show up. He said he would never leave us or forsake us.

Was Mary and Martha prepared for what was about to happen?  I don’t think so. When Jesus stepped on the scene, everything else went a whole different direction.

Are you ready for your Miracle? It may not come the way you wanted or the timeframe you wanted.  What you asked God for and felt like it had died get ready for your miracle because when Jesus steps into the situation everything else changes.

Mercy Endures

One Sunday Evening my husband and I had the privilege to attend my Sister in law’s church and the Pastor was preaching from Psalms 107 and the title of his sermon was “Oh that men would Praise Him.”

The very 1st verse stuck with me. Psalms 107:1

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.

Let’s take a look at this verse.

We are to give thanks to God at all times for He is good. God is so good. We are to be thankful in the Good times and the bad as well because he is God and he is good.

This is the part that I like. What does Mercy mean? Mercy means to have a Compassion Treatment.  When I think of Endures, I believe of keeping going, lasting, being patient, being persistent, staying the course.

Let’s take that verse and word it different ways.

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. For his Compassion keeps going forever.

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For his Compassion is patient forever.

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For his Compassion lasts forever.

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For his Compassion is persistent forever.

Think about that today. What a great God that does not give up on his Children and that his Compassion keeps going, is patient, persistent, lasts forever.

 

Today’s Prayer: Lord Jesus we thank you that your mercy lasts forever and that you have not given up on us. We stumble and fall but your great compassion that you have is so patient, and you pick us up when we fall. We thank you!
