14 Year Old Rape Victim Has Baby Stolen By DHR In Alabama

14-year-old-alabama-rape-victim

I don’t know where to begin. I am sure by now many of you have read stories or heard about the 14-year-old young lady in Alabama who was raped and had her baby stolen from her by DHR. There is so much that is being done wrong to her. She is a victim, and now DHR is victimizing her again.

As someone who is getting more involved in the Pro-Life movement and also someone who was conceived from rape, when I read stories like the 14-year-old in Alabama it burns me up inside to read these stories. It is absurd when a rape victim is treated more like the criminal instead of the victim.

When I share my story and stand up for life, I don’t like to mention about how society treats the mothers and children from rape. Well, that is going to change. It is high time that I start to bring awareness as to how we are treated.

A lot has been going through my mind about this story about the 14-year-old Girl in Alabama who have her baby illegally taken from her by CPS. There was no reason for DHR to take her child. She did everything that she was supposed to do. The young mother does have her baby back, but she is still in the custody of CPS, and she is in a group home that has bugs and mold. It is not a healthy situation for her and her baby.

Some recent good news she does now have access to her Lawyer and also has the basic birthing necessities that she needs. She needs to be released with her baby and be back with her grandparents who love her and are willing to help raise her and her baby. Her twin brother was also taken by CPS for no apparent reason. We must get them back to where they belong.

Governor Robert Bentley,

I am writing to you to let you know that I have been reading about the young 14-year-old in your state and was taken unjustly and illegally by Child Protection Services. Let me ask you this what if you had a daughter or granddaughter that you were raising and she was raped and became pregnant because of it and had the baby and the DHR comes in and steals the baby and then takes your daughter or granddaughter would you not fight to get them back?  I am sure you would want them with you.

Please do what is right and let them go back to the grandparents. DHR and CPS should be punishing the rapist not the young mother or her baby.

Thank You,

Sherry Hensley

Walk Toward The Baby And Away From Fear

The title of this blog came from something my birthmother said.

Can you imagine what Mary must have felt that day that the Angel appeared to her and told her that she would have a baby, and his name would be Jesus? I can imagine she was afraid. I know she was scared, she said how can this be I know not a man.

As I think about this, I think of all the women who were raped and conceived a baby. For Mary, it was a joyous occasion, but for these women it was not. When a woman becomes pregnant through rape she is afraid, she feels worthless, she was violated against, she has negative feelings about herself. When you meet her or are friends with her, please don’t tell her that the first thing she should do is have an abortion. Let her know that she is loved and that Jesus loves her, and She is made worthy through Jesus Christ. Show her Grace and Mercy. Don’t be judgemental.

Help her in any way that you can and help her see that the baby that is growing inside of her has a purpose, and the baby will help her heal. Pray with her and help her to walk towards the coming of that baby and help her to walk away from fear.

My birthmother was raped, and she stayed at a home for unwed mothers, and the people there showed her the Grace and Mercy of God. They helped her any way that they could, and they walked with her towards the birth of her baby and helped her walk away from fear.

As Mary walked away from fear towards the birth of her baby, imagine the people that talked about her, the people that turned their back on her. The day finally came where Joseph and Mary had to talk the long walk to Bethlehem.  Imagine the uncomfortable ride on the donkey to get to Bethlehem where our Saviour Jesus Christ the Messiah was born.

Thank You, Mike Huckabee

Thank You

As I sit here thinking about the way that our world is going, I am thankful for the positive things that I read. Just recently I read an article on Lifesitenews.com by Dustin Siggins.

The article is about Mike Huckabee’s response to CNN’s Dana Bash about the 10-year-old girl in Paraguay who was raped and gave birth to a baby.

There are some good things that Mike Huckabee said. He said, “A 10-year-old girl being raped is horrible,”  “But does it solve a problem by taking the life of an innocent child? And that’s really the issue,” said the former Arkansas governor. “I know people. I worked for a man for several years, James Robison, who was the result of a rape. His mother went to three doctors in Houston, Texas, in 1943, begged doctors to abort the baby. None of them would do it. They all refused. Today, his organization feeds, cares for, and brings living capacity for water to hundreds of thousands of people across the world. That would never have happened, Dana.”

Mike Huckabee also said, “No, it isn’t easy,” Huckabee replied. “And I wouldn’t even pretend that it’s anything other than a terrible tragedy. But let’s not compound the tragedy by taking yet another life. And I always think we sometimes miss the fact that, when an abortion happens, there are two victims.  One is the child. The other is that birth mother, who often will go through extraordinary guilt years later, when she begins to think through the – what happened with the baby, with her.”

While there is much negativity going on in the news and the world today. One of the greatest things that I have heard in a long time is a Presidential Candidate say, “I just come down on the side that life is precious, every life has worth and value.”-Mike Huckabee

When are we as a nation going to realize that every life is valuable? When are we going to stop using rape as an excuse to have an abortion? Just the other day I was sharing my story with someone and told them that my Biological great aunt could have arranged for my birthmother to have an illegal abortion. Their response back to me was I am glad her aunt gave her that option. What they said did not set well with me, and I got sick to my stomach. I have been sharing my rape conception story for a year now, and this was the first time that someone said that to me. It was as if they were saying that I should be dead

We as a nation need to get down on our knees and repent of our wickedness and realize that we are created by God, who sees us valuable. To him we are special, we are loved, we are valuable. I just want to say, Thank you, Mike Huckabee, for standing up and seeing every life is precious and valuable.

Defunding Planned Parenthood

VALUES_Fbk_FoundationForABetterLife

I am sure that many of you are well aware of the two undercover videos that were put out in the last couple of weeks about planned parenthood selling baby body parts. It is sickening. Not only is it sickening but they are doing things that are illegal. With the recent events of this the Senate and Congress are wanting to defund abortion altogether or at least that is what they want you to think.
If you read these bills, you will see that they have the rape/incest exceptions in them. I am appalled by this as well as upset. Once again our Congress and Senate is saying that my life does not have any value and neither to others who were conceived in rape/incest. God created us in his image and to him we are all valuable. The United States has turned her back on the very foundation that it was built upon. The Word of God.

Luke 6:48-49 (KJV) says, ” He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.  But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.”

It is heartbreaking that our government is not standing for biblical principles. It is sad to say but when will they realize that they are not valuing all life from to natural death. Will they realize it when they stand before God one day and have to give an answer?  I urge Christians that have a backbone stand up for the Value of Life and also take a stand for things that are Biblically Correct not politically correct.

17 Years Old And Received A Prophetic Word

message-from-god

At the age of 17 years old at my home church in Minneapolis, MN I was praying at the Altar and someone prayed for me and told me that God was going to use me greatly to help birth many new babies into his kingdom. At that time, I did not really understand what that meant, and I did not know anything about knowing I was conceived in rape and saved from an illegal abortion.

God has a timetable for everything. I did not find out about that until many years later. I never shared the story with anyone until last August when God opened the door for me to start sharing it. I have shared it and people have seen it all over the world, and it has hit a few websites not that long ago.

I remember my Pastor telling me not that long ago this is going to get big. I believe it.  Lately, I felt to have it translated into another language. God has opened the door for me to have it translated into Spanish.

Once it is translated, I am sure that it will hit websites in Spanish.

Over the last couple of days, God has been really giving me a burden for the country of Africa. I know that rape is accepted over there and it sad. I won’t really know as to where that is going to go until I talk with my Pastor, who has been over to Africa. I also know that there is someone over in Africa who has told me that it’s now my time. I believe it.

I know what I am doing is only going to get bigger, and that prophetic word that I was given at the age of 17 is coming true.

The Rise Up of Esther

such-a-time-as-this

Thinking about the story of Esther over the last few days. When Esther found out that her people were targeted to death, she took a stand. She had Mordecai tell the people to fast and pray for three days along with her and then she would go to the king and make her petition. In that day going to the king, without permission had a death sentence to it. She took a stand and stood alone. She went before the king by herself and made her petition.

Let’s take this story and apply it to those most targeted today. Yes, we live in a world where Christians are targeted and moral values are looked down upon. The life of the unborn is targeted every day.

Let me take you back to 1966 when Mississippi was the first state to legalize abortion only in cases of rape/incest. Girls/Women who get pregnant because of rape and the children of rape are still targets today. It breaks my heart when people can’t see the that the precious baby who is conceived in rape actually saved their mother from being raped more.

When I first started to share my story, I shared it with Rebecca Kiessling who is the founder of Savethe1.com, and I shared it with Juda Myers who is the founder of Choices4Life.org. Both Rebecca Kiessling and Juda Myers were conceived in rape and saved from an illegal abortion. They had the law to protect them. These two precious ladies have hearts of compassion and love. They educate others and help women and their children. These women need to be applaud not criticized.

Over the last couple of weeks, I have seen how cruel society is towards those conceived in rape and their mothers. There is so much hatred. Society thinks that abortion must be the only option for the rape conceived. While I have seen so much hate over the last few days, I have also seen more women who have conceived in rape take a stand and defend us.

While there is, so much hate and babies conceived in rape are targeted. There are women and children who are the Esther’s in today’s world who are rising up and standing up and having their voices be heard so that All life is protected.

If God can use one Lady, who’s name was Esther to save a Nation. Just think about what he can do with those who have been targeted since 1966 to bring an end to abortion.

My Mother Was Raped Rejected Abortion, God Has A Plan For My Life

Six years ago while on a trip home to visit my parents, I had the privilege to take a four-hour drive and meet a woman who I have come to know. I admire her for her selfless love, her act of courage in the middle of adversity and her strength. She is my birthmother.

Growing up, I always knew I was an adopted child. My parents did not keep it a secret and they loved me no matter if I was born into the family or adopted into the family. My parents told me growing up that when I reached the age of 18 if I wanted to search for my birthparents, they would help me do it.

For many years, I dealt with some medical issues and had a lot of questions that adoptee’s think about. In January of 2008, I decided to get the non-ID information regarding my adoption. My adoption was a closed case adoption.

The day finally came when the packet arrived in the mail. I was nervous and excited all at the same time. I waited until my husband got home from work to open it. That evening in January of 2008, I opened the packet, and we read it. I was amazed as to what I was reading. I read about my birthmother having taught children that had cerebral palsy. When I read that, I was proud of her for doing that. It did not give very much information about my birth father other than on one of the pages in big letters it says, “Alleged Father.” That is when I got this feeling that something bad happened. After my husband and I finished reading the information he told me I want to get to know your birthmother more. My husband inspired me to search for her. So I called my parents, and I told them that I was going to continue to search for my birthmother.

I wrote my birthmother an outreach statement without any names and emailed it to my caseworker. Several days went by and the days felt more like years. I continued to pray that God would work the situation out because I wanted to know who she was so I could thank her for choosing life.

The day finally came that I received a phone call from my caseworker. She said I have talked with your birthmother, and she wants to have contact with you. The caseworker told me that before she could give me her information; my birthmother wanted me to know the truth. My birth mother was raped. The day that I heard that I was conceived in rape, I chose not to become angry or bitter about my birthfather, and I chose to love my birthfather. You may ask why I chose to love my birth father who is a rapist. Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins and the sins of my birthfather. I chose to love him through the love of Jesus Christ. That day, God also gave to me a heart filled with so much love and compassion for my birthmother.

It was several weeks later after my birth mother was raped that she discovered that she was pregnant. When she told her mother that she was pregnant, her mother was not thrilled with the turn of events and gave my birthmother three weeks to get out of the house. Her father had passed away in 1967. She then went to live at a home for unwed mothers, and it was there that my birthmother started her healing process. The question went through her mind: what am I to do with this baby? My birthmother had to make a decision. She had no job, no permanent place to live, was not married. My birthfather, of course, was out of the picture. She didn’t even know my birthfather’s name. Her aunt though had an idea. Her aunt could arrange for her to have an illegal abortion with a doctor in Michigan since this was before Roe V Wade.

My birthmother though knew that there was life growing inside of her womb—Life given by God and a gift from God. My Birthmothers favorite verse is:

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

She did not want to disrupt the plans that God had for the tiny life that was growing inside of her. When she decided to place me for adoption, her one request to the social worker was that her baby be placed in a strong Christian home.

Sherry Hospital2bWhen I was born, my birthmother had some complications. She was in the hospital for a week, and I was in the hospital for a week before going to my foster parent’s house. God blessed my birthmother with one week to love, care for and hold her baby girl, Rebecca Ann. My birthmother and I were released from the hospital on the same day, and she then placed me into the hands of God.

When I got in contact with my birth mother, she told me I have always loved you, and you were the beginning of my healing process. She also said What a lot of people don’t realize the baby that is conceived because of rape they can become a strong healing force in the situation. Why? Because out of something that is horrific and traumatic comes a precious human being and the Giver of Life brings healing to the one who suffered.

Yes, my biological great aunt wanted me to be aborted, but my birthmother chose life, and I was protected from an illegal abortion. God was faithful to my birthmother’s prayer. I was raised in a wonderful Christian home where faith was taught, and it was real.

God has been so very good to me, and He has blessed me beyond measure. God has blessed me with amazing parents, a brother who also is adopted, an amazing husband who I love so very much, amazing friends and an amazing church family.

The Value of One by Fred Hensley

I thought I would share something my husband wrote last August.

Fred HensleyOne – unique, solitary, single, special, alone, no other one like you, you are special, you have fingerprints and DNA like no other one in the world. God says that we are special. A little sparrow that falls is so insignificant that no one in the world will ever notice that the sparrow fell, but God took notice that it did. And Jesus says how much more valuable to God are we than that little sparrow. The religious leaders looked down on the widow woman for giving her two mites, equal to less than a penny in today’s world. Jesus notice that she gave all that she had and said that she had given more than all the others who had given much in the offering. Jesus said whosoever will let him come and drink of the water of life freely. God is no respecter of persons. One life is just as value to God as any other life. Whosoever means anyone from anywhere who was born in this world under any circumstance whatsoever. Definition of one is the lowest cardinal number, refers to a person or thing mentioned or easily identified, a person of a specific kind. Recently, I listened to a three-part series on Family Talk, hosted by Dr. James Dobson, about four women who were born that were conceived in rape and one who is a mother of rape. My wife was also conceived by rape. We have been married for 12 years and only learned this fact back in 2008. Knowing this now only makes me love my wife more than ever before. Why should my wife be punished for being born when it wasn’t her fault for the atrocious act of rape that brought about her conception? What is the value of one when it comes to the time to vote? Some may say “my vote doesn’t matter as one vote will not make a difference”. We have learned in paste elections where every vote does count.

Does one person matter and does it make a difference whether or not that one person is born or not?

Esther was one person and yet she orchestrated and was used of God to save her people from destruction.

It’s a Wonderful Life – George Bailey mattered and the movie depicts that one life does matter. Without George Bailey, Harry Bailey would have drowned as an eight-year old boy. Without George Bailey, a whole transport of men would have died.   Without George Bailey, so many of the citizens in the town would have lived in a potter’s field. Without George Bailey, Mr. Gower would have poisoned a young boy and consequently would have died. As a result, Mr. Gower would have been placed in jail. “Each life touches so many others lives”. “When he isn’t around, he leaves an awful hole, doesn’t he.” The story of George Bailey shows that one man can make a difference. George Bailey was given a great gift, the chance to see what life would be like without him. George wished he had never been born and he got his wish. In the end, George wept and begged that he could have his life back no matter consequential troubles he had to face.

Individuals born in this world no matter the circumstances surrounding the conception are conceived and born for a reason. If God didn’t want the conception to take place, He could have stopped it from happening, but He didn’t. We were formed in our mother’s womb, so no matter how cruel the rape crime is, God allowed the conception to take place and still formed that baby in the mother’s womb. When the baby was born, God still says “I have plans for that little one” even though that one is condemned and made to feel worthless by people in the world. They can say that this one person is worthless, but God says we all have value no matter who we are and where we come from. Jesus says that everyone is valuable so much that He died for the whole world. It doesn’t say that God so loved the world except for those born out of rape. He loved the world, the whole world and nothing but the world. Since God knows the end from the beginning, He already knew those who would have been born out of rape. So the event doesn’t surprise God. But just because one is born out of rape doesn’t mean that this person has no value. The people in the world that are called worthless and made to feel they have no value are the ones Jesus usually calls and uses for His glory and honor.

Four cases of abortion

Ray, Steve. Should This Baby Be Aborted? You Decide. Retrieved from http://www.catholic-convert.com/wp-content/uploads/ Documents/ AbortionDecide.pdf

Case #1. There’s a traveling preacher and his wife who are living in poverty. They already have fourteen children. Now she finds out she’s pregnant with the 15th child. They are very poor and probably will be unable to afford a doctor’s attention. Considering their poverty, the excessive world population, and the number of children they already have, would you recommend she get an abortion? If yes, you would have aborted the world-famous Methodist preacher John Wesley.

Case #2. The grandmother is an alcoholic and the father spends his evenings out drinking in the taverns. His mother has tuberculosis. She has already given birth to four children. The first child is blind, the second child died, the third child is deaf, and the fourth child has tuberculosis. Now the mother is pregnant again. Given the extreme situation, would you recommend an abortion? If so, you would have aborted the great composer Ludwig van Beethoven.

Case #3. A white man raped a 13-year-old black girl and now she is pregnant. Her family lives in extreme poverty; in fact, to survive, they often have to steal food. If you were her parents, would you recommend or require her to have an abortion? If so, you would have just aborted Ethel Waters, the marvelous black Gospel singer

Case #4. A 15-year old girl is pregnant. She is not married and lives in a cave in an outback area with very little money or resources. The man she hopes to marry is not the father of the baby. There is no hospital or doctor available. Would you recommend that she get an abortion? If so, you would have just aborted Jesus Christ, the savior of the world.

Jesus values the one sheep, as He would leave the 99 to go and save the one lost sheep.

The angels of God rejoice when one sinner repents.

Jesus condemned the man with one talent because he failed to use the one talent that God had given to him. So if we cut off a life that was conceived in rape, we have taken away the talent, gifts and opportunities that would have been given to that person that could have made a great impact in the world.

20 Week Pain Capable Bill by Sherry Hensley

This morning I woke up with a very heavy heart. A few days ago, I read an article on Lifenews.com about the 20-week pain capable bill, which would make it illegal for abortions after 20 weeks because the baby feels pain.  What bothers me greatly is that this bill has the rape, incest and special needs exceptions in it. Congresswoman Renee Ellmers suggests that a woman should only let her doctor know about the rape and no one else.

When I read this, it did not set well with me. I immediately thought about Norma McCorvey, who lied and said that she was raped so that she could have an abortion. I thought if the rape does not have to be reported, this could happen again and could cause more abortions instead of less.

I was conceived in rape, and I had a biological great-aunt who wanted me to be aborted. I thank God that my birthmother said no and did what was Biblical and chose life.

Coming from someone who was conceived in rape, I pray you will take a minute to hear what I have to say. If you were not conceived in rape and had a family member that wanted you aborted, would you put yourself in my shoes for a minute? Should I have to pay for the crime that my birth father did? I don’t think so, as I was the innocent one. My birthfather should be the one who had to pay since he is the one who committed the crime.  Society likes to call people conceived in rape, “the rapist child, monster’s child, a product of rape and an evil seed.”  They are wrong, and since I have been sharing my story, I have got in contact with others who were conceived in rape. They are precious people with a caring heart and are making a difference. They were created in the image of God. I have also read the stories of women who were raped and having their baby brought them healing.

Even though my birth mother placed me for adoption, she told me I have always loved you and that I was the beginning of her healing process.

The devil is the one who wants to steal, kill and destroy. Jesus said I have come to give you life and life more abundantly.

Babies conceived in Rape are created in the image of God.

My heart grieves when I read these stories about babies being aborted every day or reading about babies being found in the dumpster. Very disturbing and heartbreaking.  I have been reading about the 20 week pain capable bill that they want to pass here in the United States. You can say that is a good thing and a step in the right direction to stop abortions after 20 weeks. Let me tell you they are trying to reintroduce this with the No Rape reporting which can mean that a woman can say she was raped and have an abortion up to the day of birth. Heart wrenching!! And to me that is making the situation worse instead of better.

It is heart breaking that the child that is conceived in rape has to continue paying for the crimes of the rapist. Babies conceived in rape are innocent they have done absolutely nothing wrong. You can’t tell the difference of a child conceived in rape and the child conceived out of love.

Conceived in Rape 2a

The woman who was raped needs love and support and she needs to be believed. She does not need people telling her to have an abortion. Having an abortion will only add to the trauma.

There are so many women that have made the decision to have their baby and having the baby did not remind them about the rapist but that child brought them healing and love and saved the life of the mother.

My birth mother who was raped has said, Yes Rape is horrific and traumatic, but what is more horrific and traumatic is the killing of the precious little life growing in the womb.

Babies conceived in rape are created in the image of God and God has plans for them.

Jesus Christ said in Mark 10:14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

Lets continue to fight and pray and God will get the increase.
